You, your family and pool guests can avoid exposure to various chemicals – and the health risks associated with them – because Pool Tiger’s all-natural, chemical-free processes do what the chemicals do, but much more safely.

Contaminants commonly found in pool water such as bacteria, algae, viruses and parasites (including Cryptosporidium and Giardia) expire when they are exposed to water heated to its boiling point (212° F).

Heat produced by Pool Tiger’s patented Hydrodynamic Cavitation process exceeds the boiling point, so any and all contaminants exposed to this heat expire instantly. In addition to heat, an anti-microbial additive present in Pool Tiger’s housing and other components kills contaminants on contact. This additive is completely non-toxic to humans.

Due to water’s high specific heat, which is a measure of its ability to absorb heat, the heat resulting from Hydrodynamic Cavitation is quickly absorbed and thus does not raise the temperature in the pool itself to any measurable degree.

Acids, including cyanuric, begin to decompose when exposed to temperatures in excess of 360° F. Because temperatures in the center of Pool Tiger’s chamber exceed 360° when the pool pump is running, a small but significant portion of the acids passing through the chamber soon begin the process of decomposition.

This is beneficial in two ways. First, because it helps to raise the pH of acidic source water. Second, because it helps to eliminate excessive levels of cyanuric acid.

Cyanuric acid is used to stabilize chlorine. Because it does not escape pool water as chlorine does, it accumulates over time and tends to mask the effects of chlorine. As such, pool owners and service companies are obligated to add ever-increasing amounts of chlorine to the pool water in order to achieve an acceptable level of sanitation.

Pool Tiger’s ability to eliminate excessive levels of cyanuric acid reduces the need for chlorine.

Every pool is unique due to variations in source water, usage, pool design & construction, equipment, foliage, water treatment methods, weather, location, age and so on. As such, it is impossible to make precise predictions as to how the water in a particular pool will be affected by a Pool Tiger. However, the following is offered as a general guideline.

Note: For best results on fiberglass pools, it’s best to install Pool Tiger when the pool is new to prevent the occurrence of scale.

Pool Tiger was designed to be completely trouble-free. It requires no replacement parts, electricity or regular maintenance.

It is also self-cleaning. In addition to cleaning and protecting pool surfaces, pipes, accessories and equipment, the structured water it produces cleans and protects the Pool Tiger itself.

Constructed of hardy thermoplastic and containing no moving parts, the self-cleaning Pool Tiger is designed to last. The original prototypes are still producing the same kinds of results they did when they were first installed more than twenty years ago.

Pool Tiger is activated by the flow of water as driven by the pool pump. As such, it does not require electricity.

Because Pool Tiger is not powered by electricity, it does not ionize metals like copper and silver.
